Training Stop The Bleed | STB

The Stop The Bleed training is designed to teach skills for stopping critical bleeding. This program was created to enhance community preparedness in responding to injuries that could lead to death from blood loss.

The main blocks:

  • Bleeding control: use of tourniquet, tamponade, pressure dressing
  • First aid for injuries
  • Practical simulations of trauma and bleeding care

  + Optional: introduction to evacuation and rescue equipment and handling injuries

 

By completing this training you will learn:

  • The legal basis of first aid
  • Rules of personal protection while providing assistance
  • The first aid procedure according to the CABC algorithm
  • Recognize life-threatening bleeding 
  • Application of tourniquets and the ability to distinguish between high-quality and low-quality tourniquets
  • Methods of bleeding control when tourniquets are not available
  • Types of bandages and their use

Quick and correct response to bleeding can save lives before medical professionals arrive. Bleeding is one of the leading causes of death from injuries, and timely control is crucial.

Training Basic Life Support | BLS

The Basic Life Support training teaches participants the algorithm for providing first aid in emergency situations. The goal of this algorithm is to increase the chances of survival for the victim before qualified medical personnel arrive. 

The main blocks:

  • Inspection of human emergencies
  • Restoring airway patency
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using an AED
  • Practical modeling of first aid assistance

  +  Optional: overview of medical emergencies

 

By completing this training, you will master:

  • The legal aspects of first aid
  • CABC first aid algorithm
  • Emergency procedures when someone is unwell (heart attack, stroke, generalized convulsions, etc.)
  • Assessment of the airways
  • Chest compressions (in case of non-respiration)
  • Means for artificial lung ventilation 
  • Skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using a defibrillator

Completing the training will instill confidence in your abilities and knowledge, helping you remain composed and act swiftly and effectively in critical situations. The widespread proficiency in BLS skills enhances overall societal safety, particularly in densely populated areas like schools, offices, mass gatherings, and public transport.
