The 2402 Foundation teaches the basics of safety to journalists and all those interested. We strive to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely and effectively in dangerous areas!
Today, the situation in the country is extremely difficult, so support for Ukrainian journalists is more important and necessary than ever. The presence of a bulletproof vest, a helmet, and other types of ammunition will protect a journalist while performing their professional duties.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the 2402 Foundation delivered assistance to more than 900 recipients. Our support has covered a wide range of needs of media communities.
Our work is highly relevant given the tragic statistics:
During the full-scale war, the 2402 Foundation provided Ukrainian journalists with more than 260 sets of bulletproof vests and helmets, more than 250 tactical first aid kits and tourniquets, two cars, satellite communicators, smartphones and power banks. As well as funding for the treatment of two journalists injured while working in the combat zone, and economic support for several journalists on the verge of losing their jobs. The Foundation also helped to evacuate the families of some journalists.
Since the launch of the large-scale campaign “First Aid Kits for Ukrainian Journalists”, the Foundation plans to purchase 400 more First Aid Kits and Tourniquets as part of the campaign supported by dozens of Ukrainian and International Journalists, HGOS and Activists!
The 2402 Foundation teaches the basics of safety to journalists and all those interested. We strive to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely and effectively in dangerous areas!
We provide private consulting on risk assessment, human rights, safety and digital security for media organizations. We advise on the evacuation of journalists and/or their families from dangerous areas!
We promote safety and mental health as basic human needs!
The main goal of the 2402 Foundation is to teach how to survive in difficult conditions and make safety knowledge and skills a fundamental value for everyone who lives and works in Ukraine. We have launched a large-scale fundraiser to purchase 400 first aid kits for Ukrainian journalists!
The amount of money raised is $60,000. Join the great mission!
